Glory is a normal human teenage girl who has been through... a lot. A backstory as a child assassin, a murder game full of layers of existential horror, and then a year on an idol show in literal hell, experiencing torture and death repeatedly, as well as multiple instances of amnesia and recovered memories.
But it wasn't all bad in hell! She had fun, learned a lot, built relationships, and is now. . . remarkably stable and optimistic given her situation, owing in large part to her new adopted family - Dante, Vergil, Nero and V. She ultimately "graduated" and left hell to live in the world of Devil May Cry, where she has been having her first shot at a (more) normal life while training to be a devil hunter herself.
Blunt and straightforward to a fault, Glory can be abrasive when she's not outright violent. But she is self-aware in the way only someone who's had to produce every part of their "self" out of nothing can be, has a dry sense of humor, and genuinely likes interacting with people and having fun, even if she doesn't always show it well.

+ history - Danganronpa V3 (spoilers!)
V3 is the third mainline installment in the Danganronpa series in our world, but in the world of the game, it's actually the 53rd. (Get it?) Danganronpa V3 is a meta mindfuck where the first two Danganronpa games were actually video games, but over the course of the series the media has evolved into "Real Fiction," a show where normal people have their memories wiped and are brainwashed into thinking they're "Ultimate" students like their fictional predecessors. They are then dumped into the traditional high school murder game, believing the whole thing is real - and the murders are very real.
Maki first presents herself as the Ultimate Child Caregiver, who grew up at an orphanage taking care of the younger children, who (inexplicably, to her) love her despite her cold demeanor. However, her actual talent is the Ultimate Assassin - her orphanage was actually run by a cult as a recruitment tactic for child assassins, and she has been working in that role since age 10.
At first, she and the other students are led to believe that they're the only surviving remnants of humanity, shot into space in a colony ship that crashed back to a destroyed earth, now forced to participate in a killing game with no real point. If that wasn't depressing enough, since Maki has the dubious honor of surviving to the end of the game, she learns the truth is somehow even worse: literally everything they know has been a lie. Their whole identities are fictional. The world outside they've been fighting to return to is nothing like their false memories, and in fact has been eagerly watching them killing each other for entertainment. With nothing at all left to live or fight for, they're driven to the brink of despair... in order to give the spectating world the inspiration porn of seeing them cling to hope.
The three surviving students decline to participate in this pattern. They refuse to vote in the final trial despite the threat of execution, rejecting the hope/despair dichotomy and hoping their lives can at least be worth convincing the viewers that the game of Danganronpa is pointless and should stop.
Ultimately, they survive, climbing out of the rubble of the school and the game to emerge... into a completely unfamiliar world, as people who don't even really exist.

+ history - Imeeji
Imeeji (
imeeji_frontstage) is an amnesia RP, and Maki (
rollplayinghouse) woke up there on day one with no memories of her past or any idea where she was. Over time, as she played games (ranging from "never have I ever" to "choose which of your friends to cannibalize"), she began to buy back memories and learn the unfortunate similarities between Imeeji and her past life. Imeeji, too, was a reality show broadcast for the entertainment of the masses. This time, though, it was taking place in literal hell, with an audience of demons and damned souls clinging to their sense of self via fandom.
On the bright side, it wasn't all murder games. There were a lot of people to get to know and a lot of lessons to learn about herself and the person she wanted to be, independent of the character of "Maki." She adopted the name Morning☆Glory (given to her by her unit, ☆ZRAEL, the chuuni victorian gothic themed unit, where she learned to feel at home), and was adopted by the Devil May Cry cast (unanimously agreed upon by Dante, Vergil, Nero, and V, who she felt a natural kinship with). She also learned a lot about the type of person she's attracted to, namely competitive idiots, after enough crushes and relationships with people in that category for it to become a running joke.
Despite slight misgivings, Glory has learned to embrace the ridiculousness of her situation and make strong decisions about who she wants to become - a confident and badass devil hunter. Her hair was magically turned white and she decided to keep it that way, she lost an arm and got a prosthetic replacement, and more generally, her experience (and everyone else's amnesia) put her in the position of an experienced advisor in both dealing with the all the horrors hell can offer and how to have healthy romantic relationships.
Ultimately, she received a graduation offer, and left Imeeji along with her new family.
